For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
OFFICIAL BUSINESS. Shall include, but not be limited to, attendance of schools, seminars, workshops, or conventions of a civic, educational, or governmental nature.
OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES. Elected officials, full-time employees, appointed members of boards and commissions, and the Town Attorney and Town Engineer. The Town Attorney or Town Engineer shall obtain prior approval of the Board for any planned travel for which expenses will be charged to the town. The office, department, board, or commission incurring the charges must have an appropriation to cover the travel expenses incurred.
